Specifically developed for plastic parts produced using 3D printing or additive manufacturing technologies the Metalise it… process has also had impressive results with vacuum casting parts and plastic injection moulded models.
The Metalise it… process allows plating parameters to be adjusted to suit the application at hand to achieve the required layer thickness and metal finish. The key characteristic is that when the composite metal material is applied to the plastic part it adds a structural coating, as well as a cosmetic finish, with demonstrable improvements to mechanical properties.
